1. Introduction

The vMeasure Parcel Ultima is a vision-based dimensioning system designed to capture and store high-quality product images, dimensions, and volumetric weight data seamlessly.


In addition, it supports integration with external devices such as barcode scanners, weighing scales, ERP, and WMS systems. The device comes equipped with an in-built camera that captures images of measured objects and connects to the Cloud through vMeasure Forge for data backup and analytics.


The Vision Head Unit (VHU) in vMeasure Parcel Ultima is classified as a CLASS 1 Laser Product under EN/IEC 60825-1:2014 (EU) standards.

4. Maximum Power Consumption Calculation

  • For VHU: 5V × 7A = 35W

  • For Display: 12V × 2A = 24W

  • Total Power: 35W + 24W = 59W


Formula:
P(kW) = P(W) / 1,000
P(kW) = 59 / 1,000 = 0.059 kWh

Thus, the device consumes approximately 0.059 kWh per hour.
If it operates continuously for 17 hours, it will consume 1 unit (1 kWh).


5. Operating Power Consumption Calculation

  • For VHU: 5V × 1.3A = 6.5W

  • For Display: 12V × 1.2A = 14.4W

  • Total Power: 6.5W + 14.4W = 20.9W


6. Idle State Power Consumption Calculation

  • For VHU: 5V × 0.8A = 4W

  • For Display: 12V × 0.4A = 4.8W

  • Total Power: 4W + 4.8W = 8.8W
